DevOps Engineer
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced, self-motivated DevOps Engineer who thrives in a remote, collaborative environment and is excited to play a key role during a critical phase of growth and modernization. In this role, you’ll help lead the migration from a private cloud to Microsoft Azure—balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution—while working closely with DevOps, data, and development teams. You’ll take ownership of core infrastructure components, including load balancing, performance optimization, and reliability, as well as managing tools like Netscaler and Cloudflare to ensure a secure, scalable platform.
You’re someone who takes uptime and infrastructure reliability seriously, communicates proactively across teams, and is comfortable operating in a fast-evolving, AI-driven environment. We’re particularly interested in engineers who actively leverage AI tools, such as Claude Code, to improve efficiency and accelerate problem-solving. If you’re passionate about building robust, forward-thinking infrastructure and want to make a meaningful impact on a platform powering AI experiences for thousands of real estate professionals, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the migration of private cloud infrastructure to Microsoft Azure, including compute, storage, networking, and application services
- Collaborate with our existing DevOps engineer, data team, and development team to ensure migration is coordinated, tested, and minimally disruptive
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Netscaler load balancing to ensure high availability and performance across agent and consumer-facing workloads
- Manage and tune Cloudflare WAF policies to protect platform security and maintain uptime SLAs
- Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability pipelines for infrastructure health across Azure and any hybrid environments during transition
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows in coordination with the development team
- Establish infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices to ensure reproducibility, version control, and auditability of infrastructure changes
- Identify and remediate performance bottlenecks across the platform as agent traffic and consumer website load continue to grow
- Document infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures to support team continuity and knowledge sharing
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response for critical platform issues
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure, including compute (VMs, App Services, AKS), networking (VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall), and storage services
- Hands-on experience migrating workloads from private or legacy cloud environments to Azure
- Proficiency with Netscaler (Citrix ADC) for load balancing and traffic management
- Experience administering Cloudflare, including WAF rule management, DNS, and DDoS mitigation
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/S, TLS, routing, and load balancing concepts
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)
- Solid scripting ability in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation and tooling
- Strong communication skills, able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
Nice to Have
- Experience in a SaaS or multi-tenant web platform environment
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes / AKS)
- Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for observability
- Prior experience working with real estate technology platforms, MLS infrastructure, or IDX/CRM systems
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory / Entra ID administration
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, or equivalent) are a plus
