Ruby On Rails Developer
What we’re looking for
At Ideaware, we’re hiring a Mid–Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join one of our international clients — a platform that helps vacation rental managers and hospitality teams centralize guest reviews, turn feedback into actionable insights, and leverage AI to improve operations and increase direct bookings.
You’ll join a fast-moving, product-focused team that ships quickly and builds tools used by thousands of users. We’re looking for someone comfortable working across the stack, with strong backend fundamentals and experience with Rails’ modern frontend tools like Hotwire, Turbo, and Stimulus. You care about clean, intuitive user experiences, are pragmatic about testing, and are excited about AI-powered tools. Clear communication in an async environment is essential.
This is a full-time, fully remote position based in Latin America, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and scale impactful products.

- Collaborate with product and design to deliver intuitive, polished user experiences.
- Refactor and improve existing systems to increase reliability and performance.
- Write tests where they add value, while balancing speed and impact.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decisions.
- Continuously explore tools (including AI-driven tools) that improve developer productivity and product quality.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional Ruby on Rails experience.
- Experience building and maintaining production web applications.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and RESTful API design.
- Familiarity with background jobs (Sidekiq or similar).
- Experience with modern Rails frontend tools (Hotwire/Turbo/Stimulus).
- Experience with Tailwind CSS or other modern CSS frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile or Shape Up-style product environments.
- Comfortable working independently in an async-first team.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher (able to communicate effectively in written and spoken form in professional settings).
